Michael Jordan who played for the Chicago Bulls and Jerry West for the Los Angeles Lakers were both spectacular basketball players in the NBA. But they also share something apart from most other players. Each of their silhouetted images appear on sports apparel probably more than anywhere else in basketball history.

The player image used for the NBA official logo on every NBA uniform is that of Jerry West and the leaping, dunking figure on much of Nike’s sports apparel is that of Michael “Air Jordan” Jordan.
